Unit Records, Rosters & Muster Rolls
MREC-06: Organizational records connecting personnel to a unit, command, ship, squadron, station, or dated status entry.
What this record can establish
Unit organization; named personnel on a dated roster; gains/losses; status changes; unit-level events and strength information depending on the record series.
What it does not establish automatically
Unit participation does not automatically establish individual participation in every operation. Coverage differs by era, branch, officer/enlisted status, and record series.
Preservation package
